When we consider the term "fine custom furniture," a nostalgic image comes to mind: that of a handful of expert cabinetmakers crafting a piece of furniture, guided by elaborate sketches hand drawn with a drafting board and T square.

You may not think of kitchen cabinetry as "fine custom furniture" but we do.

The French Tradition was started by Franck Valles in 1984. In the early 1980's Franck came to America from France where he was inspired by his father, an antique dealer, as well as the time spent at the School of the Louvre in Paris. It wasn't long until Franck started making custom furniture in his garage in Marina Del Rey.

Over 26 years later we have still preserved his old-fashioned work ethic of precision and quality, as well as incorporating the most up-to-date technology.
